• Stafford County Farm Bureau approached the County of Stafford to apply for funding through Kansas Farm Bureau to receive coaching on successful rural development strategies.  Stafford County Farm Bureau pledged $5,000 if the County would apply for the grant, participate in the program and use the funding it already collected toward establishing a full-time economic development office.
  
  
• The grant was awarded in the fall of 2010, an advisory committee was named and training began.  $15,000 from Kansas Farm Bureau was given for the strategic planning and training.
