The building at 311 North Broadway Street in St. John is now home to a business incubator, private office space, and a shared workspace or coworking space.
Ideas evolve over time as we adapt them to meet the changing needs. Our original concept was to build a two-story building in downtown St. John to serve as a business incubator. The bottom floor was going to have an open floor concept to conduct business and top floor was going to feature an apartment for entrepreneurs to live.
When 311 North Broadway Street became available, Stafford Eco Devo decided to purchase it instead of proceeding with new construction. We felt that with renovations, the main floor could meet the needs of our business incubator. And, the upstairs apartment was already move-in-ready.
Our original idea for a business incubator has evolved to also include private offices, a shared workspace and a remote work training programs. Stafford Eco Devo will continue to support entrepreneurs and business of all size while also helping connect residents to remote job opportunities.
